The jacket pattern I've drafted is from Metric Pattern Cutting for Menswear by Winifred Aldrich - the easy fitting suit jacket. I chose this one as it is going to be overdressed and worn by a few different actors, so the in-built ease/larger size should reduce the amount of alterations needed later.
Guy (the main actor wearing it) is broad and tall so I used the size charts for tall - 6ft and over - but feel like these might still be too short for him, since he is 6ft 2".
Since it was the day before the fitting, I had to use women's shoulder pads as they were the only ones at The Haberdashery. I used the largest ones I could buy and extended them on felt, with padstitching, but they will probably be too small still. They will at least give the right shaping to the shoulder line and sleevehead for the initial fitting tomorrow.
