14:01We now have 3 weeks to finish our costumes, so we made a rough timeplan together, of where our costumes needed to be at by the end of each week.
Costume and tech bible pages due: Friday 12th May
Aiming for: Wednesday 10th May
Week 1 (Tues 25th - Sun 30th)
Complete all flat tacking and backing
Order any fabrics/components from online
Week 2 (Mon 1st - Sun 7th)
Complete all canvassing, interfacing etc.
Start sewing together
My jacket - complete pockets
Buy any fabrics/components from shops
Week 3 (Mon 8th - Fri 12th, Reading Week, King Lear tech week)
Finish sewing together
Make and insert lining
Press and add fastenings

I found this method of planning really useful, as it blocked out the tasks but wasn't too specific. I preferred the flexibility of choosing what to work on each day, rather than having breaking down the process into tiny steps and assigning them to days It also meant we didn't spend ages planning and wasting time, but just made sure we had a guideline in mind, and could keep each other on track. Harriette and I both managed to finish by the Wednesday we had set as our own deadline, and didn't need the contingency time.
